Love Vs Spirituality in Love

Finding True love 

Since my teenage years until today, being a human, I have been in, fallen in, and encountered with these four-lettered "LOVE" many a time. We often come across beautiful quotes like " Love is Glorious", "Love is God".Have u wondered what love is or should be?. Everyone has a different perspective on life and love. Here's what I felt and penned down my thoughts. 

     

During my school and college days, Love as per my knowledge was limited only to a boy and girl who meet, date, laugh together, share some of the most unforgettable moments. Then as I grew up, I realized there is that other side to some stories too, some start feeling something missing between them after spending a great time with each other. Some may find sexual obsession has come to an end. The chemistry has somehow diluted due to the imbalance of some elements (people often search for chemistry and its quite natural, and rightly said chemistry is the use of reactions to form new substances and any slight imbalance may result in something different. Well, not a science student but this is what I learned in my school ). Some take "marriages as deals" as if a binding agreement has to be signed to receive something in favor. Then there are those couples who were so much into love, don't even want to look at each other. These realizations may or may not be mutual, either they both part away or its boy or a girl who takes the initiative. (Nowadays, this happens a lot in marriages too and the result is divorce). 

Over the years, not yet very old though, but after marriage, after having a kid, I feel love is just not getting butterflies into one's stomach with just a thought of one man/girl. It is just not being passionate about something. It's thinking beyond loving, beyond being passionate. Most often what happens is, we have a pre-decided checklist onto our minds about our man of dreams or angel of life. When we meet someone we go on checking boxes and if the result is maximum, we end up concluding the person to be perfect for us. But in reality, it's much more than checking your pre-decided checklist to lead a happy satisfying life.

Love stays only when it is touched by divinity. At this stage, one doesn't give importance to physical attraction initially( i mentioned "initially" here as I don't want to underestimate the power of touch too), their thoughts may or may not be the same, but their soul touches each other. Its a connection with something bigger than ourselves, much much beyond physical and mental love, where intellectual levels differ but still we love togetherness, the presence of each other. More than accepting each other's flaws I find ignoring or not considering them at all is important. It's more personal, same as when one prays, meditates.
